Mélanie Courtinat (1993) is a French artist and interaction designer based between Paris and Lausanne. 

Within her practice, she creates speculative worlds and environments using emerging technologies and mediums such as virtual and augmented reality, 3D and video games. She tends to think above all about the position of the viewer in front of and at the heart of an immersive work. Her investigations focus on issues revolving around gameplay and interaction mechanisms, what they imply, what they mean, and what emotions they arouse.
Her work as been exhibited in very different contexts, from contemporary art galleries to film festivals, from Tokyo to San Francisco.

Her latest clients include LVMH, Chanel, Jean-Paul Gaultier, Dolce&Gabbana, Helena Rubinstein, Vitra, Tétier bijoux, Julia Heuer...

Mélanie is represented by the creative studio  New Collective and currently in residency at Imprudence
She also teaches video game theory at École Cantonale d’Art de lausanne (ÉCAL).
