This short video illustrates a concept known as “out of bounds,' which in the context of video games refers to areas that exceed the boundaries defined by the developers within the game's universe. For example, players can access these zones by going under the map or through the colliders that define the game's boundaries. They are populated with unfinished code fragments, visual artifacts, and thus escape the initial aesthetic and functional intentions of the game. Exploring these spaces can reveal not only reveal the underlying processes of game creation but also offer tactical advantages, as in the case of speedruns, where players exploit these anomalies. However, it is often just an exploration motivated by curiosity to see beyond the boundaries.
